Shipping

The process of moving goods from the seller to an intermediary location. This includes receiving, processing, and preparing the order for delivery. Shipping is often focused on the internal process, such as design, development, and quality assurance.

Delivery

The process of moving goods from a local distribution center or store to the customer. Delivery is the final step in the supply chain and is more customer-focused, involving aspects like user experience, utility, and satisfaction.

Shipping and delivery are often used interchangeably, but it's important to understand the difference between them. For example, when shopping online, the seller will provide a shipping 2days and a delivery within 5days. The shipping 2days is when the item will be shipped from the warehouse, and the delivery within 5 days is when it will be delivered to the customer.
